Job summary

Apex Appoint are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated operation in Shrewsbury. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, react to breakdowns and participate in continuous improvement across conveyors, motors and control systems.

Reporting into the Engineering Team, you will diagnose faults from electrical drawings, work on three-phase motors and drives, and ensure equipment reliability with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical and mechanical fault finding in automated environments.
• Planned and reactive maintenance experience across conveyors and automated machinery.
• Reading electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• Reactive electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and test equipment.
• Working on motors, drives, sensors and control systems.
• PLC fault finding and basic interrogation.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Working safely in line with company procedures and engineering standards.
