Systems and Automation Engineer

Monday - Friday Days, Salary £53,000 - £56,000 per annum, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. We are seeking a seasoned Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer within the FMCG space to join a renowned FMCG company.

Overview

As a Systems and Automation Engineer, you will need an electrical qualification and strong experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance across our operations.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently repair various production machinery using both reactive and preventative maintenance techniques, including motors, control panels, and various systems.
• Confidence with PLC fault finding.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance across our operations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in both electrical and mechanical principles.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and provide reports as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the FMCG sector.
• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering (BTEC, HNC, etc.).
• Possession of an 18th edition or any additional electrical qualifications is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
