Join SquaredUp: As an Automation Engineer, you'll build and maintain our core data platform, connecting SaaS products, internal systems, and data warehouses. Your expertise in no-code, low-code, and all-code serverless tech will transform how we capture, process, and leverage data, turning raw telemetry into actionable intelligence. By crafting elegant, reliable automation solutions, you'll empower teams throughout the company to make data-driven decisions and operate with efficiency.

What you'll do:

• Design and implement cloud-native integrations between our SaaS product, business systems, and data warehouse using Azure Functions and AWS Lambda.
• Own the stack end-to-end, including testing, CI/CD, and observability.
• Write high-quality code in JavaScript, TypeScript, PowerShell, and Python.
• Build and maintain Slack bots, agents, and workflows using Slack Bolt.
• Choose to use no-code or low-code solutions like Zapier, Make, and n8n when appropriate.
• Build reliable pipelines using Segment and Dataform to transform and ship data.
• Work with our analysts to support their data warehouse needs and grow our capabilities.
• Explore and experiment with the possibilities of AI and ML.
• Use our product to visualise, monitor, and alert on the health and performance of our integrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and implement technical solutions that drive efficiency.
• Document technical architecture, data flows, and system dependencies with clarity and thoroughness.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong software & data engineering skills.
• Experience with cloud-native serverless tech.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Problem-solving mindset with a passion for automation & optimisation.

Your expertise:

• Experience building serverless functions in AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience writing JavaScript / TypeScript and Python.

Desirable:

• Experience with cloud data warehouses and ETL processes.
• Experience writing SQL and/or SQLX.
• Understanding of observability practices including logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Interest in AI/ML technologies and their practical business applications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science / software engineering.
