Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Engineer in Slough to oversee a highly automated manufacturing facility. You will lead maintenance activities, fault-find PLC-controlled equipment, and drive reliability improvements across the site.

The role involves supporting automation systems, planning maintenance and guiding the engineering team with project work and call-out on a rotating schedule. A strong background in electrical/PLC fault-finding is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Lead Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills with PLC experience.
• Experience with automated machinery and production lines.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and reliability techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities across a highly automated manufacturing facility.
• Fault-find and repair PLC-controlled production equipment.
• Support and improve automation, controls and electrical systems.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Improve machine uptime, efficiency and OEE.

• Manage PLC backups and control system documentation.

Lead Maintenance Engineer

Slough

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated manufacturing facility in Slough. This role would suit a Lead Engineer, Senior Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, PLC Engineer or Reliability Engineer looking to join a business that is investing heavily in its people, equipment and automation capabilities. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will take a leading role in maintaining and improving production equipment, supporting automation systems, driving reliability improvements and delivering engineering projects across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities across a highly automated manufacturing facility
