Mishcon de Reya is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, build and support workflow automation across legal practice and business operations, with a focus on Power Platform, APIs and integrations. Qualifikationen

• Strong software engineering fundamentals including version control, testing, code review and secure development.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, cloud services and event-driven/workflow solutions.
• Ability to move from unclear problems to working prototypes and improve them with evidence and feedback.
• Confident collaboration with Product, Data, Architecture, Security and business specialists.
• Clear written and verbal communication to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Practical approach to experimentation with safe test boundaries and governance.
• Experience using identity, secrets-management and service-connection patterns.

Aufgaben

• Deliver workflow automation per AI and innovation roadmap.
• Build automation with Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, APIs and connectors.
• Translate process maps into technical designs, exception paths and testable outcomes.
• Integrate enterprise systems securely using supported interfaces.
• Use AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery while maintaining review and testing.
• Move changes safely between environments using pipelines and environment variables.
• Apply reusable components and patterns to reduce fragile customization.
• Create automated tests covering functional, integration, security and regression testing.
• Maintain technical documentation, release records and rollback plans.
• Monitor flows, integrations, queues and scheduled jobs; investigate failures and reduce repeats.
• Design alerts, retry logic, exception handling and manual fallback for critical workflows.
• Measure cycle time, failure rate and adoption to demonstrate value.
• Manage technical debt and platform changes as part of the roadmap.
• Simplify processes with business teams before automating them.
• Collaborate with low-code engineers to enable lower-complexity patterns.
