Join a forward-thinking, community-focused organization leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive sustainability, enhance customer experiences, and build operational resilience. Operating as part of a multidisciplinary digital innovation team, you will design, build, and deploy high-impact automation solutions. This role is central to streamlining critical business processes, driving operational efficiency, and elevating service delivery across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Discovery & Feasibility: Lead initial technical evaluations and feasibility assessments; deliver engineering estimates, delivery assumptions, integration patterns, and risk evaluations.
- Solution Architecture & Design: Translate process designs, user stories, non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria into secure, scalable, and supportable low-code/automation solutions.
- Low-Code Development & Integration: Build robust automations and API integrations utilizing Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate Cloud/Desktop, Power Apps, Dataverse, Copilot Studio) alongside approved architectural patterns.
- Engineering Standards & Guardrails: Implement comprehensive exception handling, retry logic, structured logging, telemetry, alerting, environment variables, connection references, and secure credential storage.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Design and execute unit, functional, integration, regression, and non-functional test strategies, maintaining complete documentation and test evidence against acceptance criteria.
- Agile Delivery & Lifecycle Management: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, backlog refinement); manage ALM and version control via Azure DevOps.
- Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain solution designs, system diagrams, test scripts, release notes, and operational runbooks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Platform Engineers (environment capabilities/connectors), Architects (design reviews and standards), and Process Engineers (process readiness and standardization).
- L3 Engineering Support: Investigate and resolve production defects, workflow failures, integration issues, and performance bottlenecks for live automations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify automation candidates, build reusable components, define standard patterns, and promote engineering best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
- Microsoft Power Platform Expertise: Proven hands-on experience designing and delivering automation solutions using Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop), Power Apps, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio.
- Integration & Workflow Engineering: Strong background in low-code automation development, API integrations, and complex process workflows.
- Power Platform Governance & Security: Solid understanding of environment strategies, managed solutions, connection references, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and secure credential handling.
- ALM & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for Application Lifecycle Management, CI/CD release pipelines, and version control.
- Testing & Telemetry: Experience implementing end-to-end testing strategies (unit through non-functional) alongside robust error-handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms.
- Methodology & Communication: Background working in Agile/Scrum teams with strong problem-solving skills and clear technical communication for non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Certifications: Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-500, PL-200, PL-400, AB-620) or relevant Azure/AI credentials.
- AI & Machine Learning: Exposure to Copilot tools or ML platforms (e.g., Foundry, Azure ML).
- Enterprise Systems: Experience integrating with enterprise platforms like Workday, ServiceNow, or SAP Risk & Compliance.
- Compliance & Security: Awareness of GDPR, platform security practices, identity management, and compliance standards within regulated environments.
