Job Description:

Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. They offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

We are looking for an Offshore Automation Engineer on a 6+ month contract based in Leatherhead.

  • IR35 Determination - Highly likely to be outside, so engagement through an LLC is permitted
Role Overview:

An instrumentation engineer experienced in multi-discipline engineering teams, mainly in the oil & gas industry, working on greenfield offshore projects including conceptual studies, FEED, detailed design, and installations.

Responsibilities / Experience:
  • Undertake design and engineering deliverables, with knowledge of ICSS including DCS, ESD, and FGS, and instrumentation communication protocols.
  • Develop preliminary and final stage I&C, contributing to P&IDs, Instrument List, and Control system specifications.
  • Specify and requisition DCS, PLC, and SIS systems, with experience in their full life cycles.
  • Review vendor documentation for compliance with project and process specifications.
  • Develop automation-related deliverables such as I/O lists and interface requirements.
  • Assist in process control narrative development, Cause and Effects, etc.
  • Develop philosophies, block diagrams, and datasheets for systems.
  • Support and review design work, drawings, layouts, Cable Schedules, and Termination diagrams.
  • Contribute to HAZOP, SIL, and design reviews; conduct FAT for control systems.
  • Awareness of NORSOK standards and subsea systems is essential.
