Job summary

Pab Staffing Solutions Ltd in Edinburgh is recruiting a Test Automation Engineer to join a major UK banking group’s Retail Lending and Retail Digital teams. The role is hybrid with two days per week in the Edinburgh office, focusing on Java, Selenium, and API testing to strengthen automated regression suites.

You will develop and execute automated tests, validate REST APIs with Postman, and collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business domains.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java and Selenium automation.
• Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience building, maintaining or improving automated regression test suites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and maintain automated tests using Java and Selenium.
• Test REST APIs and system integrations using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Build and strengthen robust, reusable automated regression test suites.
• Plan testing activities, identify risks and prioritise testing effectively.
• Support testing for system upgrades, data remediation and application changes.
• Carry out end-to-end, integration and manual testing where required.
• Investigate defects, communicate findings and work with colleagues to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, including teams involved in Customer Borrowing.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing tools, frameworks and approaches, making recommendations where appropriate.
