Job summary

ABCA SYSTEMS LIMITED is seeking an Automation Engineer to service and install automatic doors, gates, barriers and access control systems across social housing and commercial sites in the UK. The role requires fault finding, repairs and planned maintenance with a proactive, customer-first approach.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and holds a valid UK driving licence. A professional, solution-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with automatic doors, gates, barriers and/or access control systems.
• ADSA or ADIA accreditation would be highly desirable.
• Ideally 3+ years industry experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Responding to reactive callouts and diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently.
• Carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance and repairs across automated systems.
• Working on automatic doors, gates, barriers and access control systems.
• Carrying out surveys, inspections and site assessments.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical and control systems.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Providing professional and customer-focused service on site.
• Recording works, parts used and technical information accurately.
• Completing job reports and timesheets.
• Working in line with company procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Supporting out-of-hours callouts and on-call rota as required.
