Job summary

Adecco in the United Kingdom seeks an Automation Engineer (6-month contract) to provide software support for site automation systems and ensure reliable operations on a Top Tier COMAH site.

You will translate Process Engineering requirements into robust software solutions, maintain safeties, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimise disruption, while documenting changes and maintaining HSEQ compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in control engineering on process automation projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSEQ standards in COMAH environments.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV and batch process automation.
• Ability to prepare project documentation.
• Proactive, independent worker able to join cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safe Systems of Work and uphold HSEQ standards.
• Implement changes within schedule and performance targets.
• Develop control strategies to resolve production bottlenecks.
• Ensure safe modifications to systems and assets.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, production and control systems.
• Diagnose process control issues and provide solutions.
• Collaborate with design teams to deliver projects with minimal disruption.
