Job summary

TJX Europe in Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our distribution centre team. You will help run and maintain automated systems, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and downtime is minimized across shifts.

This role offers a 39-hour week, a fixed three-week rota, and opportunities for overtime in a fast-paced environment. You'll work with a proactive team, develop skills in PLC/IBUS networks, and contribute to continuous improvement across our operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role and environment.
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical/mechanical subject.
• PLC and network knowledge preferred.
• ASI/IBUS networking knowledge.
• Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings/manuals.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Proactive fault finding with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Computer literate.
