Job description

Due to success and growth, we are now recruiting for an Automation Engineer to join our team in Southampton. The Automation Engineer will report to the Technical Services Manager, and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Responsibilities include:
  2. Equipment Selection and Purchasing
  3. Definition of control system documentation (FDS, SDS, FAT, SAT)
  4. Creation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports, and other paperwork
  5. Configuration and programming of multiple PLC, HMI, SCADA, and telemetry systems including Mitsubishi (A, FX, and Q range), Mitsubishi HMIs (Beijer)
  6. Experience with telemetry outstations such as Serck PX24, Schneider Talus T4e, and Seprol S2000 is ideal but not essential

Skills / Background:

  1. Experience working as an Automation Engineer
  2. Client-facing with excellent interpersonal skills
  3. Hardworking and self-motivated
  4. Hands-on electrical skills/qualifications are desirable but not essential
  5. Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
  6. Onsite Fault Finding and Modification of Electrical Control Systems is desirable but not essential
