Salary: £40-60k

Copello have partnered with a dynamic and innovative aerospace company at the forefront of advanced manufacturing.They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Automation who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about automation and continuous improvement.

The Role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer – Automation, you will play a key role in driving automation and process improvements across our production lines. You’ll work closely with production teams to identify opportunities for automation, resolve faults, and ensure our equipment and systems run at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop manufacturing automation systems, with a focus on PLC programming and integration
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults and ensure timely resolutions
  • Work hands-on with both electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced production environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
  • Identify and support robotic solutions where appropriate
  • Provide technical support to shop floor teams and operators

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with fault finding and maintaining manufacturing equipment
  • Background in either mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Experience with robotics and automation systems is highly desirable
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and a passion for engineering

Desirable Qualifications (not essential):

  • Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, NVQ, or similar industry-recognised qualification in engineering or automation
