We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Automation Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to all plant and equipment onsite, including, but not limited to, the automation field. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient functionality of machinery onsite in both a proactive and reactive capacity with active involvement in continuous improvement activity.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess the ability and commitment to train colleagues within engineering to contribute to their continued professional development. An excellent communicator across all mediums with the ability to effectively plan and execute tasks and responsibilities in line with operational deadlines both autonomously and collaboratively.
The postholder will have experience in fault finding across both electrical and mechanical engineering with knowledge and experience in the practical application of the Electricity at Work Act 1989, PUWER 1998 and 18th Edition BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations. Robot and automation experience (Denso) and vision systems including Keyence and Cognex are desirable but not essential.
Experience in PLC, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Siemens is also advantageous.
