This amazing long-term contract role for an Automation Engineer is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading motorsport/F1 business in Northamptonshire.
This role will be working in a multi-faceted Automation team, alongside incredibly talented and passionate people.
You’ll be responsible for the design, development, and validation of both new and existing automation programs to ensure they’re robust in production. This includes ensuring that our meticulously engineered power units are manufactured and assembled with precision, without fault, and with great repeatability, upholding the highest quality standards. You’ll also have the opportunity to specify the right technology needed for any task, and ensure we stay abreast of emerging technologies.
You’ll be working around the internal combustion engine, electric machines, and batteries.
This will be working as a Contractor initially set at 12 months. Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
In the relentless pursuit for more Power Unit performance and reliability on the track, we design and develop revolutionary manufacturing processes that simply cannot be bought off-the-shelf. This gives us an edge in competition, and in turn, this gives a group of Automation Engineers an incredible opportunity to design, build, and commission special purpose machines from the ground up, from an initial scribble in the back of notebook, to a fully-fledged production machine.
The role is for an expert in Industrial Automation programming, ideally specialising in Beckhoff TwinCAT and KUKA robotics. Proficiency in these systems is essential for optimising automation processes and ensuring robust and sophisticated robotic applications. If you have the skills to leverage the full potential of Beckhoff TwinCAT and KUKA robots, it would be great to consider you for this role.
