Job summary

Logistex is seeking an Automation Engineer for our brand-new Bedford site to support automated systems and conveyors at one of our largest clients. You will work on delivering high-quality engineering support across automated equipment and drive improvements.

Ideal candidates have NVQ/B-Tec/C&G/HNC/ONC qualifications and proven logistics automation experience with a full UK driving licence. You will collaborate with Site Managers and Field Service teams to minimize downtime while upholding

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics automation, MHE, or similar engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering support across automated systems and conveyors.
• Ensure safe and efficient operations, following Health & Safety protocols.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives alongside the CI Manager.
• Collaborate with Site Managers and Field Service teams to solve technical challenges.
• Maintain equipment, diagnose faults, and keep downtime to a minimum.
