Job summary

Volvo Financial Services is seeking a Software Engineer to help build a modern, cloud-based data ecosystem in Warwick. You will contribute to both frontend and backend development, focusing on automation and process improvement across the full development lifecycle.

You will design and implement backend services using Node.js, work with SQL and PostgreSQL, and collaborate with Data Specialists and Solutions Engineers to automate key business processes while leveraging cloud platforms and

Qualifications

• Strong frontend and backend development experience.
• Interest in automation and process improvement.
• Experience with Node.js or equivalent backend technology, alongside SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Proficiency with version control and modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business rules into tested solutions.
• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud platforms and IaC is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation from planning through to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js, plus frontend interfaces.
• Work with SQL and PostgreSQL for data integrity and queries.
• Translate complex business rules into accurate automated solutions with financial calculations.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and validate outputs against requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine processes before automating them.
