Automation Controls Systems/Field Service Technician I

Join to apply for the Automation Controls Systems/Field Service Technician I role at Revere Control Systems.

This position provides responsive, customer service-driven electrical and automation support, including troubleshooting, remediation, implementation, commissioning, and testing of electrical and automation components and systems. Responsibilities include maintenance, commissioning, calibrations, I/O checkout, functional testing, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Understand field instrumentation for troubleshooting, loop checkout, calibration, and support the functional checkout of control systems.
  2. Work with simple field metering devices and calibration equipment.
  3. Troubleshoot instrumentation and control portions of P&ID drawings.
  4. Troubleshoot PLC-based electrical control systems, including input/output signals.
  5. Redline control panel and P&ID drawings.
  6. Perform service work safely in electrical areas with voltage sources up to 600 VAC.
  7. Test, calibrate, and configure electrical control equipment, instrumentation, and systems.
  8. Review control applications for proper operation and purpose.
  9. Review electrical connections within control panels and motor control centers.
  10. Install and service electrical infrastructure and control panels.
  11. Understand plant processes and control system requirements.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, and Skills Requirements

  1. Entry-level or 1-2 years of related field service experience.
  2. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet).
  3. OSHA safety certification.
  4. Basic math and computer skills.
  5. Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  6. Experience with specialized tools and calibration equipment.
  7. Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred.
  8. Excellent communication skills.
  9. Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for company insurance.
