We are looking for

Proactive Automation Area Managers to join our expanding Warehouse Team in Corby! You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day automation operations of the warehouse, focusing on financial and administrative management to maximise efficiency and profitability.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Oversee daily warehouse automation operations, ensuring financial and administrative tasks are efficiently handled to maximise team performance and profitability.
  • Tightly manage your team, identify, anticipate and resolve any operational matter within your automation shift.
  • Exceed customer expectation and continually drive customer satisfaction.
  • Using data and insights to drive innovative solutions
  • Regularly update SOP training modules to align with current procedures, manage the change control process, and develop training plans for the team, ensuring proper SOP sign-off.
  • Performance Monitor and enhance SLA and KPI performance within the team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  • Maintain and improve inventory accuracy within the automation department, proactively addressing any issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular communication briefings with direct reports to keep them informed of company updates and encourage input for continuous improvement.
  • Lead health and safety initiatives, performing regular checks and audits, and managing accident/incident investigations, including root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain a professional understanding of HMRC regulations relevant to stock held by the contract, ensuring compliance.
  • Proactively manage absence, performance, and disciplinary matters, including conducting one to one’s, probation reviews, and appraisals.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and leading initiatives and projects to enhance warehouse operations.

  • Extensive 3PL Warehouse Expertise: Proven success in managing all aspects of automation warehouse operations, including financials and administration.
  • WMS & SOP Proficiency: Skilled in using Warehouse Management Systems and continuously updating Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Analytical & Strategic: Strong at assessing shift needs, optimising capacity, and driving performance metrics.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent at leading teams, conducting briefings, and building strong customer relationships.
  • Health & Safety Advocate: Experienced in leading safety initiatives and thorough incident investigations.
  • Compliance & Improvement Focused: Knowledgeable in HMRC regulations with a detail-oriented, proactive approach to continuous improvement.
