Job summary

Edge Staffing has an exciting opportunity for an Automatic Door Technician to join our clients’ expanding operation in Washington, Tyne and Wear.

The role involves fault finding and completing reactive repairs, installing, servicing and repairing automatic doors and gates. A full UK driving licence is essential, and you will be part of a supportive team with an on-call rota (approx. 1 in 9).

Qualifications

• Experience with fault finding and completing reactive repairs.
• Knowledge of various auto door operators.
• History of installing, servicing, and repairing auto doors.
• Experience with working on automatic gates and barriers would be beneficial but not mandatory.
• Able to deal with Clients. Implemented to support team.

Responsibilities

• Deal with Clients and perform fault finding.
• Fault find and complete reactive repairs on automatic doors.
• Work as part of a team and support call-out rota (approx. 1 in 9).

The role of the Automatic Door Technician will involve:

Tasks to include but not be limited to:

• Dealing with Clients
• Able to fault find and complete reactive repairs
• Knowledge of various auto door operators
• A history of installing, servicing, and repairing auto doors
• Experience with working on automatic gates and barriers would be beneficial but not mandatory
• Working as part of a team
• Inclusion in manager call out rota (around 1 in 9)

The ideal applicant will be an Automatic Door Technician with:

• High levels of attention to detail
• Full UK driving license
• Motivated, highly organised, team player

What can you expect:

• An hourly rate of £19.00 - £21.00 depending on skill level
• A Monday to Friday schedule working 7.30 - 16.00 with an overtime rate outside of these hours
