Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of an established entrance systems specialist, seeks an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to cover the Kent and Surrey area (South of the M25). You will service, maintain and repair automatic door and entrance systems across commercial, public-sector, healthcare and education sites.

The role offers 45 hours per week, overtime rates, a company van and pension, with ongoing training and career development.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, repairing, fault-finding and installing automatic doors.
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of BS EN 16005.
• Current CSCS Card.
• Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred clean).

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault-find and repair automatic door systems.
• Carry out upgrades, modifications, installations, testing and commissioning.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults safely and efficiently.
• Ensure work complies with relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and complete accurate documentation.
• Work independently and as part of the engineering team across the coverage area.

Automatic Door Engineer

Automatic Doors, Entrance Systems, Door Service & Installation
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + overtime
Contracted Hours: 45 hours per week

Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with an established entrance systems specialist seeking an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to cover the Kent and Surrey area (South of the M25). This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering team specialising in the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of automatic door and entrance systems across commercial, public-sector, healthcare, education and facilities management environments.

Overtime & Rota: 1.5x hourly rate for hours over 45 Monday-Friday and Saturdays; 2x hourly rate Sundays and Bank Holidays. 1-in-9 weekly rota with a £250 rota cover payment. Out-of-hours quoted works payments.

Automatic Door Engineer Responsibilities:

The Ideal Automatic Door Engineer:

• Automatic door service, repair, fault-finding and installation experience - ESSENTIAL
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills - ESSENTIAL
• Knowledge of industry standards, including BS EN 16005 - ESSENTIAL
• Current CSCS Card - ESSENTIAL
• ADSA, DHF or Gate Safe qualifications - DESIRABLE
• Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills - ESSENTIAL
• Full UK Driving Licence, preferably clean - ESSENTIAL
