About

Door Engineer: Automatic Doors, Industrial shutters, sectional and roller doors

Basic £31,200 - £43,000 plus company van, tools, call-out rota, plus overtime.

Based in various locations: Scotland, North West UK, North East UK, and in the South of England

The role is remote, working around client needs, with jobs being allocated from the central office team via industry-leading software applications. You will be paid door-to-door from your home address.

The Company

Our client's business is experiencing unprecedented growth, specialising in industrial doors, including roller shutters, fire doors, sectional doors, etc. You must have experience within this field and with these products due to the role being independent. We will support you with relevant training during the induction period to ensure you feel valued and become the expert our customers expect. This permanent position is ideal for someone looking to advance their skills further and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Role
  • This is a field-based role working closely with customers across several locations, including public locations.
  • Some work may include overnight stays and outside normal working hours.
  • Completing planned maintenance inspections to ensure doors function correctly and are safe and compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Installation, repair, and fault finding of all types of industrial doors, roller shutters, and automatic doors.
  • Installation, repair, and fault finding of high-speed doors and specialist application doors, including security and fire doors.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Planned maintenance of all types of industrial doors, roller shutters, and automatic doors.
  • Installation of steel doors and automation of various door types.
  • Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Reactive callouts, working on a call-out rota system (call-out supplement payment applies).
The Candidate Will Have The Following
  • BSEN knowledge of automatic doors EN16005
  • Previous field experience within the industry is essential, as you will work alone after induction.
  • Good knowledge and experience with all types of industrial doors.
  • IPAF and/or PASMA certifications are desirable.
  • A CSCS card would be ideal.
  • Electrical skills would be an advantage.
  • Able to pass a DBS check (for some contracts).

Full UK Driving license and a place to park your company van, ideally with a clean license. You must also have the Right To Work in the UK.
