Job summary

Hunting in Aberdeen is seeking a skilled Design Draughtsperson to produce machining/fabrication and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD. You will update existing drawings/files, create schematics and contribute to technical manuals while ensuring drawing control and documentation compliance.

Based in Aberdeen, the role requires attention to detail, practical drafting experience in manufacturing, and the ability to meet deadlines. UK travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Essential: HNC (or similar) in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software – ideally Autodesk.
• Drafting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Full Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed design drawing, using Autodesk Inventor/Autocad
• Revising designs, following change management procedures
• Drawing and documentation control in line with Hunting and industry body process
• Producing specification sheets
• Creating technical manuals
• Providing cover and support to the department as and when needed
