AutoCAD Technician – Architectural Metalwork & Bespoke Fabrication

Are you a confident AutoCAD Technician with a passion for turning technical concepts into fabrication-ready drawings? We’re working with a well-established design and manufacturing business that specialises in premium architectural metalwork and bespoke interior features across high-profile commercial and residential projects.
You’ll be joining a small but ambitious design team working on one-off, creative installations seen in some of London’s most prestigious buildings. If you enjoy variety in your day, working closely with fabricators and seeing your designs come to life – this role could be a perfect fit.
What You’ll Be Doing:2D AutoCAD Design & Draughting (Main Focus):
Producing accurate, detailed AutoCAD drawings for fabrication and installation
Creating flat patterns, DXF files, and technical documentation
Designing bespoke metalwork elements such as wall panelling, ceiling features, lighting housings, and decorative cladding
Working closely with the fabrication team to ensure drawings are practical and buildable
Project & Site Support:
Attending site visits across London for surveys and design coordination
Liaising with contractors, architects, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth delivery
Supporting the Design Manager with scheduling and reporting
Proven AutoCAD experience (essential)
1–3 years' experience in a draughting, design technician or CAD support role
Background in architectural metalwork, joinery, or fabrication
A good understanding of manufacturing processes, especially sheet metal
Clear communicator, with a practical mindset and team spirit
Fusion 360 experience is a bonus (not essential)
Work on high-end, bespoke architectural projects
Regular site involvement – not just office-based
