Job description

Our client is a well-renowned Landscape Business with an enviable reputation. They now require a CAD Technician to join their business.

Responsibilities

• You will join in with our company events and socials where possible, helping to build a collaborative work environment.
• You will uphold our company values, outlined in our employee handbook.
• You will liaise with external design team members and address coordination issues.
• You will work closely with other members of staff including designers, foremen, site and maintenance operatives, and the admin team to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and update detailed construction drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant CAD software.
• Prepare technical drawings for construction, including site layouts, setting out drawings, elevations, sections, details and specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather design requirements and ensure accurate representation.
• Assist in the development of 3D models and BIM files. Previous experience in this is welcomed but not mandatory.
• Maintain drawing standards, document control, and revision tracking.
• Review and ensure that all drawings comply with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings and construction documentation packages.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical input as needed.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (not essential), and other drafting software.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
