Job summary

Halfords is offering an Autocentre Apprentice position in the UK. The role provides hands-on training across servicing, inspection and diagnostics, with day-release college and a 40-hour week at the Autocentre.

You will learn to diagnose faults, work on a variety of vehicles and develop skills under expert mentors in a busy workshop environment. This is an excellent start to a career in automotive repair with extensive company benefits.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents)
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to learn from mentors
• Able to work independently but also as part of a team in a busy workshop
• Interest in cars and solving problems

Responsibilities

• Learn workplace safety, engineering skills and vehicle inspection and servicing
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic methods and equipment
• Work on a range of vehicles from routine servicing to complex repairs
• Collaborate with colleagues and mentors in a busy Autocentre
