Job summary

Front Range Community College is seeking an Auto Service Technology Teaching Assistant to support instructors in setting up and running labs, preparing vehicles, and organizing the tool room. This is a part-time, hourly position with variable hours and a cap of 28 hours per week.

A Colorado resident on day one is required; occasional travel between FRCC campuses may occur. Responsibilities include supervising students in labs, assisting with exams and grading, and providing program area support.

Job Summary:

In this position, the Auto Service Technology Teaching Assistant will help instructor set up/run labs for students. Help maintain and prepare vehicles and demonstrations, along with tool room organization and upkeep. Part-time hours and schedule are somewhat variable per semester and cannot exceed 28 hours per week. This position does have the opportunity to work remotely occasionally but does require a strong on-campus presence and may require occasional travel to all three FRCC campuses. Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. Also, Front Range Community College is an E-Verify employer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides independent support to instructor of record by developing and demonstrating laboratory processes; provides direct training on program specific processes/techniques.
• Monitors students in the classroom/laboratory, assists with developing and administering examinations, grades papers, and provides input to instructor of record regarding student performance.
• Assists with the coordination and delivery of classroom instruction.
• Provides program area support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Automotive repair certificate.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in automotive repair.
