Paneltex is seeking an Auto Electrical Operative to install, test and commission electrical systems in vehicle cabs, chassis and cold storage units. You will work from engineering packs and schematics, ensuring high quality and safety standards are met.
The role covers installation of CCTV, tracking, data logging, reversing cameras and tail lift systems, with hands-on training provided for the right candidate. 40 hours per week with standard working hours in Hull.

Job Title: Auto Electrical Operative – Various Departments
Location: Paneltex Ltd, Somerden Road, Hull, HU9 5PE
Reporting to: Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday, 08:00–17:00; Friday, 08:00–14:00
Salary: From £13.00 per hour
As an Auto Electrical Operative, you will be responsible for installing, connecting, testing and commissioning a range of electrical components and systems within vehicle cabs, commercial vehicle bodies and cold storage units.
The role will include the installation of systems such as reversing cameras, CCTV, data logging, tail lift and vehicle tracking systems. You will work from engineering packs, including A3 schematic drawings and functionality lists, and will be responsible for integrating vehicle body components with the vehicle cab wiring system.
You will also carry out testing and commissioning to ensure completed vehicles meet the required quality, safety and functionality standards.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
