Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Autism and complex communication needs in the classroom and during social times.

  • Use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables (experience desirable but training can be provided).

  • Strong understanding of autism and how it affects learning, communication, and behaviour.

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic nature with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and non-verbal.

  • A proactive, flexible, and team-focused approach.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one).

What We Offer:

  • A chance to be part of a passionate and specialist team in a well-regarded SEN school.

  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • A supportive working environment where your contribution is valued.

  • Competitive daily rate: 100 - 120, depending on experience.
