We're working with a fantastic specialist school in Rowde that supports students aged 11-18 with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLDs) and Autism. They are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Worker to join their friendly, experienced team as soon as possible.
The Autism Support Worker role is a full-time, term-time role that gives you the chance to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment where every day brings something new and rewarding.
Key Details for an Autism Support Worker
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Monday-Friday, term-time only)
* Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
* Location: Rowde
As an Autism Support Worker, you will:
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students
* Help build communication and social interaction skills
* Promote independence and a sense of safety within the learning environment
* Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours
* Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes
Te role of Autism Support Worker is ideal for someone who:
* Is a strong communicator with a calm, patient manner
* Is organised, adaptable, and ready to rise to daily challenges
* Has a Grade C/Level 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
* Has experience working with children or young people (particularly those with additional needs)
