Job summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing Limited is seeking support workers to provide practical daily assistance and emotional encouragement for individuals with autism and learning disabilities. Roles include 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights), with a strong emphasis on PBS, sensory integration, and structured routines within a safe, person-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months professional care experience; UK Right to Work and Enhanced DBS required.
• Age 25+ with clean UK manual driving licence; driving role preferred but non-drivers considered.
• Training in Autism, PBS and Sensory Integration preferred; willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living tasks, personal care and medication management when trained.
• Promote independence within a structured routine and supervise to manage risk.
• Help access community activities and maintain a healthy diet and hydration.
• Complete daily cash checks and document all financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns to the care team.
