Overview

Affinity Workforce Solutions are looking to recruit Autism Support Workers/care workers to work within a Special Needs School in the Peterborough area. The school caters for pupils with SEND with a wide range of needs, aged between 4-19. These needs include but are not limited to ASD, ADHD, cerebral palsy and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with supporting meal times and other physical support needs such as assisting with moving and handling requirements.
• Maintain students’ dignity and independence at all times.
• Be encouraging and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in care and confidence in delivering personal care to service users.
• We would also consider candidates who have previously been a carer to a family member.

Role Details

The role is full time, working Mon to Friday 08:30 to 15:30 term time only starting ASAP. This is ongoing, and could lead to a permanent post for candidates who get on well in post. Successful applicants will be subject to referencing and DBS checks, including both adult and child barred list checks.
