About the Role

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with autism, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Create a nurturing environment where students feel safe and valued, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support communication between students, teachers, and parents/guardians, ensuring all are informed and involved.
  • Encourage students to develop independence and life skills, boosting their confidence and resilience.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and contributing to reports and reviews.
  • Collaborate with staff to create a cohesive learning environment that meets diverse needs.
