Job summary

A local education provider in Swindon is seeking a Teaching Assistant with Autism (ASC) specialization for a full-time, long-term position. Qualifications

• Experience or personal knowledge of working with individuals with Autism (professional or personal).
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) and commitment to safeguarding.
• Ability to provide patient and kind support during challenging moments.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism to achieve daily learning tasks aligned with EHCP goals.
• Use visual schedules and communication tools to support learning and transitions.
• Help manage sensory environment to reduce overload and maintain student safety.

Skills

Experience working with individuals with Autism

Understanding of TEACCH or ABA principles
