Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Reigate to support students on the autism spectrum, including high-functioning autism, helping them participate in daily learning activities.

The role requires DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one, a history of 3–6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable care or support experience, and a readiness to drive. Working hours are 8:30–16:30 and the pay is £88–£93 per day.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.
• Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable skills from similar industries e.g. care or support work.
• Understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.
• Transferrable skills from other related fields: care, support work or similar.
• Willingness/ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students on the autism spectrum.
