Job summary

Lloyd's Register International is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist Jake in living at home. The role involves shift work, including evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays, and requires a compassionate approach to autism and communication.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strength of character, consistency in practice, and the ability to set boundaries while encouraging an active lifestyle with walks and community activities.

Qualifications

• Experience of, or real interest in supporting people with disabilities, particularly autism.
• Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays.
• Strong communication and boundary-setting in a supportive role.
• Understanding that behaviour is communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to live in own home and assist with daily activities.
• Support an active lifestyle by accompanying walks and activities.
• Maintain consistent work practices and boundaries.
