Job summary

National Autistic Society in Cardiff is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help adults live their best lives by following person-centred support plans. You will assist with daily routines, personal care and skills development within a caring team.

Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential; a driving licence is preferred and a DBS check may be required. This role offers pension, extensive leave, training and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential.
• Possession of driving licence is preferred.
• Required to have or be willing to obtain a DBS check (Enhanced preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts).
• Support life skills & independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation).
• Inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people.
