Academics in Trowbridge, Wiltshire is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to help children aged 5-16 overcome barriers to learning within a specialist school.You will provide individual and small-group support, assist with classroom activities, promote communication, independence and emotional regulation, and work closely with teaching staff.Salary is paid per day (£85-£110) with training opportunities and a chance to develop skills in SEND education.
Qualifications
Experience working with children with Autism preferred.
Ability to work in a school environment and follow guidance from teaching staff.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and small-group support to pupils throughout the school day.
Assist with classroom activities and promote active participation.
Encourage independence by developing daily living and learning skills.
Support sensory needs and emotional regulation, adapting strategies as required.
