Job summary

Academics in Trowbridge, Wiltshire is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to help children aged 5-16 overcome barriers to learning within a specialist school.You will provide individual and small-group support, assist with classroom activities, promote communication, independence and emotional regulation, and work closely with teaching staff.Salary is paid per day (£85-£110) with training opportunities and a chance to develop skills in SEND education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with Autism preferred.
• Ability to work in a school environment and follow guidance from teaching staff.

• Provide individual and small-group support to pupils throughout the school day.
• Assist with classroom activities and promote active participation.
• Encourage independence by developing daily living and learning skills.
