Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Autism? Do you have a caring and patient nature, with a desire to help students overcome communication challenges?

A friendly and inclusive special needs school in Devizes is looking for a Graduate to join their team as an Autism/Speech and Language Assistant. In this role, you will support pupils with Autism and communication challenges.

As an Autism/Speech and Language Assistant, you will:

  1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with Autism, assisting with daily tasks, classroom activities, and communication development.
  2. Support children in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
  3. Create an inclusive, supportive, and structured environment that promotes learning and healthy social interactions.
  4. Work closely with Speech and Language Therapists to implement personalized learning plans and communication strategies.

The ideal candidate is a Graduate with a degree in Psychology or Criminology. Experience in a similar role or with SEN is beneficial but not essential. We seek a compassionate and patient individual eager to help vulnerable children. This position offers valuable experience in development, psychology, and speech and language fields.

  • Full Time (8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
  • Salary: £85 to £95 per day
