Job summary

Randstad Education in Slough is seeking a positive Teaching Assistant to support students aged 5–19 with Autism and complex needs. Full training provided; join a nurturing team in a modern school with extensive facilities and progressive development opportunities.

The role is full-time, term-time only, 8:30–4:30, with 1:1 and small-group support across KS2–4. DBS and compliance checks apply, with funded training and career progression on offer.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with learners with various learning difficulties.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Flexibility in approach to education; SEND experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching assistance to the teacher as per planning.
• Work 1:1 with students and in small groups.
• Deliver group or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Support learners to develop their work and well-being.
• Monitor and evaluate student learning under teacher guidance.
• Support classroom management for a purposeful learning environment.
• Assist with planned work across curriculum areas.
