The Springfields Academy in Calne, part of Reach South Trust, seeks a Semi-Formal Autism SEND Teacher to develop and deliver a holistic curriculum for autistic pupils. You will work with our therapy team to enable safe, independent living skills through bespoke learning experiences.

The role emphasizes child-centred practice, autism understanding, and creative, flexible teaching to foster pupil growth in social, communication and academic areas.

Qualifications

• A passion for making complex concepts accessible for autistic learners.

• Understanding and applying autism theories (e.g., TEACCH) in practice.

• Ability to build positive relationships and support pupils’ confidence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a holistic academic, social communication and life-skills curriculum for autistic pupils.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary therapy team to implement therapy-first approaches.
• Create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
• Support pupils to achieve their social, emotional and academic potential.
