Job summary

Arc School Ansley, part of Kedleston Group, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils and help them overcome barriers to learning within a nurturing, supportive team. You will contribute to a child-centred approach and play a key role in improving student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational settings.
• Experience with autism/SEMH is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify strategies to help overcome pupils’ barriers to learning.
• Use humour and restorative practice to ensure a child-centred approach.
• Support transitions for new or returning pupils.
• Provide in-class support as needed to meet pupils’ needs.
• Liaise with staff to monitor pupils’ behaviour and wellbeing.
• Build positive relations with parents/carers to encourage involvement.
• Communicate with parents about specific support for their child.
