Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board invites applications for a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 7) specialising in Autism within the Children's Neurodevelopmental Service across West Wales. The post involves autonomous diagnostic assessments and time-limited post-diagnostic support for autistic children and young people.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, contribute to national and local policy implementation, and develop specialist knowledge and training

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration required.
• Master’s level qualification or equivalent experience desirable.
• Specialist post-graduate training in Dyslexia/ADOS/ASD tools is advantageous.
• Evidence of continued professional development and teaching qualifications helpful.

Responsibilities

• Autonomous diagnostic assessments for autistic children and young people.
• Time-limited post-diagnostic interventions and discharge planning.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate highly specialist OT provision for ASD within the Neurodevelopmental Service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other OT departments.
