Job summary

National Care Group Limited is seeking an Expert with Lived Experience (Autism) Co-Trainer to join our training team. The role involves co-delivering the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism, sharing your personal autism experiences and helping professionals develop understanding and person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Has lived experience of autism (a formal diagnosis is not essential).
• Feels comfortable speaking with and engaging groups of people.
• Has good communication and listening skills.
• Can share personal experiences in a positive, professional and meaningful way.
• Is reliable, organised and able to prepare for training sessions.
• Understands the importance of confidentiality, dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Co-deliver Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training sessions alongside experienced trainers.
• Share your personal experiences and perspectives of living with autism.
• Support participants to better understand the challenges, strengths and experiences of autistic people.
• Encourage discussion and answer questions in a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Help ensure training is engaging, accessible and inclusive.
• Champion the voice of autistic people and contribute to improving services and support.
