Job description

Provide in-class support, focusing on students with autism and more complex needs. Deliver targeted 1:1 or small group interventions. Act as a keyworker for specific students, building trust and consistency. Collaborate with teachers, families, and professionals to create tailored support plans. Contribute to the SEND team by sharing best practices and learning strategies. Support emotional, behavioural, and academic development in a structured environment.

The ideal candidate will be a calm, compassionate, and committed individual with previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ready to make a real impact in the lives of autistic young people. Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in an SEN support role is essential, along with a calm, kind, and proactive approach to working with young people. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual needs are also required, as well as GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Hours & Pay
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:00pm (Term Time Only)
  • Salary: Grade C - £24,405 to £25,430
  • Actual Salary (Term Time Only): £19,183 to £19,988
