Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is recruiting a Graduate Psychology & Autism Learning Support Assistant for a Greenwich primary school. You will provide targeted support to pupils with autism and additional needs, helping them access learning and develop confidence in a nurturing environment.

This full-time, term-time role offers hands-on experience in SEN, autism and child development, with daily 8:30am-4:00pm hours and a start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Psychology degree required or strong related degree.
• Interest in autism, SEN and child development.
• Graduate keen to support children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with autism and additional needs.
• Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.
• Develop positive relationships to build confidence and independence.
• Support social communication, emotional regulation and engagement.
• Use structured activities and visual resources to support learning.
• Help pupils manage transitions and changes throughout the day.
• Support pupils with sensory, behavioural or communication difficulties.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO and support staff on tailored plans.
• Monitor pupil engagement and contribute to a calm, inclusive classroom.
