Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for the ASC Centre in Bracknell. You will support students with Autism on courses from Foundation to Level 3, assisting in small groups and one-to-one settings to enable progression.

You will work with ASC Group Teachers to adapt resources and ensure access to learning, including off-site activities. Personal care may form part of duties where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Resilience, motivation, initiative and patience are required.
• Ability to provide support to learners with Autism and related difficulties.
• Good communication with tutors to deliver effective FE programmes.
• Willingness to learn about Autism and related challenges is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students with Autism on courses designed for autism needs.
• Facilitate individual learning programmes and small group/1-1 activities.
• Collaborate with ASC Group Teachers to adapt lessons for access and progression.
• Support learners in mainstream environments and off-site activities as needed.
• Assist with personal care where appropriate.
