Job summary

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work with autistic children in a fantastic school located in the Portsmouth area.

We work in partnership with schools across the Portsmouth area who require compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with additional learning needs on a one-to-one basis. Successful applicants will join a supportive team and contribute to positive outcomes for students with SEND.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, NVQ, Cache or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD
• A genuine interest in supporting children with complex learning needs
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training for this can be provided)

Responsibilities

• Support children on a 1:1 basis
• Work with autistic children in a Portsmouth area school
• Register and pass safeguarding/vetting checks
