Job summary

Kedleston Group's Mill School Bury is seeking a HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist to join its specialist team. You will deliver high-quality, child-centered OT services to pupils aged 7–16, working within an educational setting to support mental health and wellbeing.

You will manage your own caseload, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in meetings and supervision, and contribute to staff training. Excellent communication with parents and carers is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified with a recognised degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
• Experience working with children and young people, preferably in educational or specialist settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong assessment, report-writing and organisational skills.
• Committed to promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to pupils according to clinical need.
• Manage own caseload and work 40 hours per week.
• Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, supervision, training and annual appraisals.
• Establish relationships with parents and carers to inspire trust and confidence.
