Job summary

Resources Autism in Birmingham seeks a skilled Specialist Autism Counsellor to deliver time-limited counselling to autistic children, young people and adults, including those with mental health needs. Sessions are funded and free for clients.

You will manage your own caseload, attend triage meetings and supervision, and may work across community spaces in Birmingham and Solihull; driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Provide structured, time-limited counselling to autistic children, young people and adults.
• Deliver autism-informed therapeutic interventions to support wellbeing and coping skills.
• Manage your own caseload and participate in triage meetings and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver time-limited counselling sessions to autistic clients.
• Maintain client notes and monitor outcomes.
• Travel to community spaces across Birmingham and Solihull as needed and drive when required.
